After completing Medical School with a concentration on
bio-chemistry and nutrition, she completed a fellowship with
Dr. Robert Atkins (Atkin’s Diet). Her specialties of bioidentical
hormone replacement therapy and nutrition are potent in arresting metabolic syndrome and a host of other degenerative and auto-immune conditions. Dr. Cohen believes that a balanced metabolism and diet are fundamental to longevity, good health and quality of life. Her proficiency in bioidentical hormone replacement has helped countless men and women with
andropause and menopause, and helped raise public awareness about the potential for health and vitality in mid life. Versed in the subtle science of neurophysiology, Dr. Cohen evaluates her patient’s neurotransmitters and the general health of the nervous system. She brings a superlative perspective gleaned from over a decade of experience practicing medicine in New York City,
treating active and successful patients.

Specifically, Dr. Cohen helps her patients to align with their natural rhythms, so that they can create a state of health and metabolic balance. Working with the body’s innate healing ability, Dr. Cohen has addressed and subdued complex medical problems,
syndromes, thyroid issues, weight management and tenacious diseases by integrating alternative healing modalities with conventional medicine. Sustaining good health comes from an attentive patient and physician. Dr. Cohen works with patients so that they understand their role in their illness and are clear about the actions they need to take to create a state of health.

She utilizes chelation and IV therapies, nutraceuticals, nutritional supplements and alternative medicine for healing. Dr. Cohen contributes articles regularly to medical journals and lay publications on internal medicine, themes relating to metabolism, food sensitivities, and issues pertaining to "Gut health.”
