USED IN TREATING:

Reap the benefits of a custom dosage of vitamins and minerals that is tailored to your unique biochemistry.

While we should, in theory, be able to draw all the nutrients our bodies need from the food we eat, functional and orthomolecular medicine recognize that each of us has a unique biochemistry, and in some cases additional supplementation is needed. Sometimes this is due to an inability of a particular patient to process certain nutrients, and in other cases certain nutrients can offer additional health benefits when given in a greater-than-normal dosage.

Intravenous nutrient therapy is the process of injecting a solution containing vitamins and minerals (often including magnesium, calcium, B-vitamins and Vitamin C) directly into the bloodstream.

Why inject these nutrients intravenously?

Injecting these nutrients directly into the bloodstream allows for a far greater concentration to be achieved than would be possible if the same nutrients were to be taken as pills by mouth. This high dosage of vitamins and minerals has been suggested to be effective against asthma, migraines, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, fibromyalgia and seasonal allergies. A certain combination of these nutrients, known as the Myer’s cocktail, has been shown to lead to a clinically significant improvement in pain and tender points among fibromyalgia patients.
